Gender Allies is a playable game that I created for my capstone project at Utah Tech University. It was introduced during the Design Department Senior Exhibition from April 22nd to April 29th, and has continued to be developed. The purpose of Gender Allies is to create a safe space for parents and allies of transgender and nonbinary children to learn about the LGBTQ+ Community and how to best support their child. This is accomplished through a variety of game modes, whether practicing a child's pronouns, or learning about different language use and choices that can effect a child's happiness and well-being. This space is a place where parents are allowed to make mistakes, in the hopes that they will be able to learn and be able to better support their child in their gender. Hence the title, Gender Allies.
Gender allies are people who support everyone in their lives, regardless of their gender. Whether your gender is the gender you were born into or not, you deserve respect, support, and equality.
